First Choice Medical is actively recruiting Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD) to join their clinical team.

Rate Of Pay: Competitive (DOE)

Job Description/ Main Duties:

Provide high quality and effective pre-hospital clinical care to a wide variety of situations including medical and traumatic incidents, inter-hospital transfers, patient transport services and other allocated operational duties commensurate with the Scope of Practice.
Ensure that consideration is given at all times to the feelings and needs of the patient using the full range of pre-hospital emergency care and extended skills when appropriate.
Provide a concise and thorough handover report, including relevant patient history, condition and treatment to receiving Healthcare Professional or hospital staff.
Act as source of clinical advice for other team members
Ensure that all paperwork including patient clinical records, both electronic and paper-based pertaining to this role are completed according to Company policy/procedure/protocols, current legislation and Caldicott guidelines.
Ensure the safe transfer of patients, to and from vehicles, being mindful of the safety of patients, self, colleagues and others, using appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques.
Communicate with patients, relatives, colleagues, other health professionals, emergency services and members of the public in a calm, caring and professional manner, treating them with dignity and respect at all times.
Ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times and that personal / clinical information is only disclosed in accordance with Company policy, procedure and protocol and in accordance with Caldicott regulations.
Use/operate all Company equipment, facilities, vehicles and premises in an efficient, effective and safe manner, reporting faults in the appropriate manner
Carry out relevant vehicle and equipment checks at the commencement of a shift, ensuring that the vehicle is properly kitted, cleaned (paying particular attention to infection control) and stocked, faults or omissions reported and all appropriate recording procedures completed.
Assist in ensuring the efficient use of medical supplies, maintaining adequate supplies throughout the shift, ensuring single use items are used according to protocols and ensuring that all clinical waste is disposed of according to Company policy and current legislation.
Maintain skills and competencies required.
Undertake all statutory and mandatory training commensurate with this role.
Maintain timely communications with relevant mangers or control, using appropriate means.
Ensure compliance with Company guidelines, policies, procedures, protocols and the Scope of Practice at all times, ensuring patients receive the highest quality and standard of care and attention.
Report any incidences of risk, neglect, abuse or endangerment in accordance with Company policy.
Assist and support colleagues to ensure security, cleanliness and the availability of vehicles, equipment and supplies and to assist in other duties as required i.e.
Cleaning vehicles and equipment
Replenishing, restocking and replacing items on stations and vehicles
Decontaminating equipment
Completing paperwork - e.g. incident forms, police statements, coroners' reports, solicitors' statements etc.
Record promptly any accident/incident in which you are involved in whilst on duty.

Person Specific:

Essential: RGN,RMN,RNLD Qualified, Active NMC Pin, Nursing Degree, Must have a minimum of 5 Years experience as a Nurse.

Desirable: Previous Experience in Emergency Medicine and/or Ambulatory Experience.

Contract Type: Part Time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Weekend Availability, Weekends only, Holidays.
